Currently at around 93k miles, I bought in July 2020 from its first owner at ~65k miles.
Mike Cawley at Euopean Auto Techniks first did the PPI and later performed the maintenance. After I moved to Missouri, the last maintenance service was done at Reid Vann in St. Louis and Porsche St. Louis did a couple of recall works.
Pretty well loaded with about $13k of extras (check out the sticker)
Maintenance:
- The most common thing to go wrong in this power train combo is transfer case, which was changed in 2019.
- HVAC blower started to go bad, which I replaced myself using an OEM part in 2022.
- All oil changes have been ahead of schedule.
Ownership experience:
- This has been the most incredible vehicle to drive. As a family, we drove from MO to TX a couple of times as well as to Canada. Never missed a beat.
- Upgraded LED headlights are a charm coupled with auto beam and corner assist.
- Always gotten comments about the interior color combination (saddle brown with luxor beige)
- I have hooked up uhaul trailers on a number of occasions. Almost all uhaul guys get a surprise when they see 7700lbs tow rating on the factory tow package (anyone remember this pulling a passenger jet?!). It tows with a breeze.
- The base 3.6 gets a lot of hate on this forum but I find it plenty for regular driving and the sport mode just wakes up the beast inside.
- There is a spare tire, which needs to be inflated but I have never needed to use it.
- The extended fuel tank (26.4g) means easily do >500 miles before needing to fill up.
The (not so) bad
- Service is due in April
- There is a carpet tear on the rear passenger foot well (not sure what caused it but it was like that when I bought it)
- Clean title but Carfax has made a note of front accident and despite providing them proof of no damage, they have refused to remove it.

I have the same car. The base 3.6 is fine around town! I don’t have any problems with it’s power, and sport definitely does help the transmission settings. My other car is a GT3, and I’ve never felt like I “needed” the S motor.
