Default GT3

I didn’t promise to sell it to anyone nor did I take a deposit.

I made arrangements to show it and I changed my mind - the same way the buyer had/has a right to.

I had some time open up and the one person happened to text me at the right time and he said he was close by. I also needed the funds ASAP otherwise I would have just waited for the original person to come down.

And it sold for exactly what I asked for - not a penny more.

First come first serve is a nice thought - that might mean to some that I work with the first message I received and start going down the line until I actually made a deal. I didn’t actually open my message in any order kind of just randomly clicked on who had the goofiest handle -j/k.

It was uncool but it wasn’t wrong.

It is amazing the amount of whining from people that did not get the car. The seller has the right to sell the car to whomever he chooses and at whatever price he chooses. If you wanted the car "sight unseen" you should have wired him the money. It was magnanimous of him to explain himself, yet evidently that was not enough. It is comical that his character was attacked. I would say the people attacking him exhibited their true character.

I texted you that someone else was coming down to see the car. I was tied up in an important meeting since 7am and couldn’t communicate. I am so busy with work I was on a teleconference while removing the roll cage with the buyer standing right there.. And not that it mattered but you changed your mind on me a few years ago when you offered to buy my white 75 Carrera which I took in stride. I was going to sell you my car but changed my mind and again I’m sorry for wasting your time and the disappointment it caused. There is a GT3 in San Diego for 65k if you don’t mind some front end collision history. Anyway, good luck with the search and thanks again for the offer. I’ve said my peace and am moving on.

Sounds like the seller just wanted no hassle no BS quick sale when it was convenient for them. snooze you loose. thats how deals work sometimes, right place, right time communicating. congrats to the buyer.

If you tell someone to come down and buy car you should honor that deal or at the least contact that person FIRST TO EXPLAIN.

This is the new way of doing business," F Everyone" who cares I get my money. You keep repeating how busy you are but did you ever think people are also busy? They made time to move funds, take off, get a trailer all so you could just cancel. All these people actually sticking up for him are the reason we are all screwed as there are ZERO ethics anymore.

Explain how you buy a car by wire, driving there or whatever if seller can change his mind at any moment? You make arrangements stick with them and then move to next person.

Could you imagine wasting your time emailing this guy and he is picking out funny names vs going in order. You're so busy but have been on here answering EVER SINCE selling the car.

Apologize you were wrong!! But that never happens anymore either.

Default Move on already

You should really be careful about challenging someone's ethics when you know nothing about them. Your sense of values and ethics do not drive everyone else's and they certainly do not align with with them either. Your opinion is just that, an opinion.
No one wired him money. The sale is not complete until the money has changed hands. He clearly stated that he was only selling the car so cheap because he needed money immediately to consummate another deal.
I do not know this guy from Adam. Would it have been easier if he reached out to prospective buyers? Perhaps. Do I think less of him or think he is unethical? Of course not. When he tried to explain why he handled it the way he did, you piled on more because it did not fit your opinion of how it should be handled. Enough already. Move on.

Me and another seller backed out of buying this after inspection, before this was listed. Happy to share with the current buyer if they're in here, hope they are aware of what they are buying.

i still think it was a decent buy even at that price with the unknown of the leak down results. I communicated with the seller a bit when he posted it. Seemed like a nice guy.
