Well cared for, and it shows. I am only the third owner, I have had it since 2012. The car has spent its own life in California according to the records. Both exterior and interior are 8/10 in my opinion. Clean title. Clean Carfax, no accidents (screenschot attached). Just passed California smog successfully. I have it maintained by The Stable and Pacific Motors in SF, both reputable shops. Paint is in very good condition, a nice deep black. I am not certain whether the paint is OEM or not, it does look fantastic though. The dash and headliner are perfect, and the front and back seats as well. Mechanically runs strong and clean. Had an engine rebuild at 67k miles in 2005 by Sonnen Motors in San Rafael, CA, and regular maintenance and service over the years (I have all records). The engine does consume oil, but it seems like a normal amount to me.
The downsides: the climate control unit is acting up (always blowing a bit of warm air), and the rear spoiler motor is not activating (both recent developments, and I haven't looked into it yet).
Also, I did some subtle modifications that, in my opinion, are tasteful and only add to the original character of the 964:
- All new adjustable KW V1 coil over suspension
- WORK Brombacher 17" wheels
- Secondary muffler bypass (original muffler included)
- OMP steering wheel (original steering wheel included)
- Black aluminum door handles
- SRP Racing black aluminum pedal set plus footrest
- Back window wiper delete (all original parts are included)
- Steve Wong chip (have original chip)
- WEVO engine mounts
- FVD tail pipe
Some of the mechanical history (have many more records than that but this is a selection):
- New brake disks and pads at 150k miles
- Last oil change at 149k miles
- Brand new tires at 147k miles
- Major service at 137k miles
- New clutch at 130k miles
- Major service at 120k miles
- Front oil cooler and lines replaced at 115k miles
- AC retrofitted to R-134a at 115 miles
- Major service at 90k miles
- Engine rebuild by Sonnen Motors in San Rafael, CA at 67k miles
I have all records during the time of my ownership, and also records from the previous owners. Email me if you have any questions. Good luck with your search!

"Unicorn" in the sense that it's a cool spec being a C2, manual, and coupe; but I concede that this is a personal opinion, so I re-worded the ad to clarify. Thanks for the kind words.
