Officially forsale. I purchased a 951 as my primary track vehicle.

I acquired the RSR a year ago and proceeded to put it all back
together and return it to the track. This is an absolutely wicked machine.
I thoroughly enjoyed the restoration project and the experience
of driving the RSR.

However, my skills are just not up to this level of race car and I just can't comfortably drive it on the track like she deserves. I also don't have a tow rig and trailer setup that will support such a vehicle.

I'm seriously considering moving to a 944 Turbo street/track car as that suits my abilities and lack of tow vehicle. DONE!

I don't need to sell the RSR, and I'll do my best to enjoy it until I do part with it.

I offer it up for consideration to someone whose skills and infrastructure can more fully utilize the RSR.

-----------------------------

When I acquired the car the engine was in rubbermaid containers.
After finishing the tear down. I decided the quickest way to the track was to start with a base 3.6L and start the rebuild from there. I performed a top end rebuild including all new valves and valve stems. Valve Job by Brooks Eilliott.
I then reassembled and resealed the top end. I reverse engineered
the Motec 400 setup and converted from wasted spark to a true sense/ref system.

I had the engine tuned by Justin Nanani of Tuner Concepts.

I debuted its return to the track at TWS in December. The car ran very well.
I had some issues with the transmission linkage a sticky throttle. Both have
been redesigned and are working very nicely. I also performed a followup
readjustment of the valves. Also replaced the fuel pump.

I've been busy with work and my ChumpCar racing -- so I've taken my time to address the issues above. She's now ready to head back to the track.

Was told this was tuned to run 400Hp when previously installed.

RSR is phenomenally quick with 251hp, 400Hp would be intense.
Curb weight I was told was 2100lbs wet. I've added some
tow hooks, front end reinforcements and converted to regular battery
so the weight is probably closer to 2150lbs.

Serious inquiries can contact me via email at mike@lonestarrpm.com

thank you,

Just acquired a 951 Street/Track car -- so the RSR is officially on the block

Here's a picture of the RSR in action at a local PCA DE.
Making the Carousel at TWS look easy.

How's the Spec Boxster coming?

I picked up a 951 and a membership at Harris Hill.

Doing some engine work on the 951 -- but hope to be at some DE's in the near future.
