1959 Porsche 356A Coupe
VIN# 107812
VIN# 107812
Available for sale is this Porsche 356A that I have owned for 24 years. I drive this car on a daily basis from Mid April until the end of October and then store it during the winter. It has been well maintained.
I have the Certificate of Authenticity. VIN# 107812, engine number 70456 (not the original engine) and the transmission number 27946.
The car was painted in 2004 and is driver quality with some minor blistering from age around the doors and fender areas. There is a scratch on the driver's side front fender. The rest of the car is very presentable as a driver, with the trim being in very good shape. The car drives straight and true, and pulls strong in all gears throughout the rpm range. Gauges and trim are quite presentable, again, keeping with the driver quality of this car. The floor pans were replaced in 2004.
The engine in the car runs great and was recently tuned and serviced. The car has its original 6V system. In the late 90's I replaced the Solex carburetors with Webers. I have the original Solex's which will come with the car. The lights, turn signals, brake lights, and gauges are all operating correctly. It has the original Blaupunkt radio with AM, FM and Shortwave Radio push buttons. The glass all looks to be in good condition. Doors, trunk and engine compartment all open and close as they should.
I have a box of extra parts collected through the last 24 years along with a winter cover for storage.
This 356A would make a great driver as it is. Asking $42,000 or reasonable offers. Please email Jim at porsche@scherzi.com
