What better way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911 than buying one for yourself! And with NEFCU financing this at 3.24%, it's easy to afford. As for justifying, it's up to you, but it's no more expensive to maintain than an Audi, BMW or Mercedes - but offers the best driving experience I've had in a car yet.

This is the second-to-last generation of the air-cooled Porsche 911 - known by the code "964." 964s were manufactured from 1989-1994 and this car has the AWD option decended from the 959 supercar, complete with three differentials including a locking center diff. It provides for a stable cornering experience and confidence at higher speeds. The rear wing is electronically controlled.

This particular car has 138k and was purchased last fall from an enthusiast owner that has several other 911s, including two of the famed "RS America" cars. He clearly took care of it, as I have. In my time of ownership, I've had all of the fluids replaced (not just engine oil, but transaxle, brake fluid, etc) so that I'd know it could be used as a daily driver. I replaced the battery. That's it. Otherwise, the car starts up and runs as it should - gears shift without any fuss or noise - and the car accelerates properly through the entire range to redline. You can loook at the spot it's parked in my garage every night - not a drop or drip of oil anywhere - and a climb underneath reveals not a lick of corrosion or oxidation. It is Guards Red with black leather - and the previous owner can attest to the paint: it got a full window-seal-out respray last October to the tune of ~ $10,000 that insurance paid for as a result of it getting "keyed" at his place of employment. The car looks as new.

Included in the sale are an extra set of factory 17" Cup wheels and I could be convinced to include a second hood with driving lights. Also, I have the factory exhaust to include, as it is equipped with a recent aftermarket one that produces less backpressure.

There are no secrets about this car - if you want to talk with the mechanic that knows it well and has 40 years of experience with servicing and owning 911s, I'll give you his number and you call him up. If you want a picture of the right-hand rear turn signal bulb or driver's side door handle or a video to show the operation of the sunroof, just ask! Whoever buys this car will not only be getting a great deal, but will take comfort knowing that as long as they take care of it, they're going to get every penny back if they decide to sell.

No tire kickers, no trades, no barters and no consignments or commissions. I will only respond to calls, as I'm tired of email scammers.

You could just dump the photos into a flickr account or snapfish or the like and then post the link. Seems that is popular with those who struggle with it here.

Hmmm. Unless it's my firewall here at work, what I posted isn't showing up. Lets try again.

Drove the car today and had forgotten how much more fun it is than anything else. This car combines modern safety (ABS/airbags) and technology (AWD), but loses nothing to the raw 911 experience. Cannot believe I'm selling it!

How do you get that rate? When I look at their used car loan page I'm seeing:

2.74% APR* up to 60 months
Loan amounts up to $70,000

best financing is PenFed.org 1.74% up to $70K and 60 months. spread the word.
