Rob,

I will send you a message a message, see if we can set a time / date that works for both of us. I just had the car up in Winston this past weekend, thankfully it is nice easy drive on 40/77.

I was surprised to see the 928 up on BAT today, some Rennlister must have submitted it for me, thanks to whom ever did so.

What was it that was causing the low compression (100 psi) and misfire on number two cylinder?

So when I picked up the car there were a few problems:
- Timing was way way off, north of 12 degrees on the left bank, and 10 on the right. Knowing how far off the timing was I am shocked any of the cylinders came back with good numbers.
- Vac leaks
- Worn cap and rotor
- O2 sensor was not connected

So I addressed all those issues, and the motor came to life. Drove it back to back with another 85 928S and they felt identical. Tested the compression numbers after running the car for a 1000 miles or so, and they came back even across all cylinders.

Good job! The previous owner didn't want to spend any more money on it.

Cup wheels sold, so they are no longer available with the car.

Fixed the HVAC system, it turns out one of the vacuum lines has collapsed, replaced the line with some new tubing and the system is now fully functional.

The parts for the CV joint repair have arrived, but the weekend was spent on yard work so I didn't get a chance to fix them yet. Hopefully one of these weekends in the near future will provide me with a bit of spare time to get it done.

I picked up a track car candidate yesterday, so I am not as interested in trades anymore.
