Default Bay Area PPF

I've searched. I've called. Can't seem to find a good shop. I've worked with OCDetailing and Premier in the past. I'm looking for a new PPF installer. Some of the shops I've seen recommended on here have either never returned my calls/emails, or they don't do full/custom wraps (they use printed templates), and I want all the edges/seems as hidden as possible. Premier is good, but they're ridiculously expensive and they're also booked out 6-7 months. My car is currently wrapped from them, but it hasn't held up as well as my previous car that had Suntek.

Hi,

We would be happy to help you out. We at Mum Sports have been working on Porsches for a while now.
We'd love to give you a quote and show you some of the car's we've worked on previously to give you a peace of mind.

OCDetailing
If you've worked with them before, was there any issue why your not working with them again? They did our Blackvue and battery install for us before, with no issues. They even were nice enough to do so on an off day.

For the most part, the actual PPF install was fine. But they damaged one of my wheels on a brand new 991.2 GT3 and never made it right. We couldn't agree on how to remedy the situation. They wanted to reimburse me $150 to have the wheel powder coated. But the wheels are painted from Porsche. So it wouldn't have matched the other three wheels. The owner kind of laughed and said over time I'd just get chips and nicks and scratches in the wheel anyway. How STRANGE is that, coming from a detailing shop who does PPF and whose job it is to keep cars looking good?

Damn that sucks.

For my C2S when I purchased, was CPO, they had to send the wheels out to get re-powder coated, it was a 3rd party.

Yeah I had the wheels of my RS repainted recently, but they didn't turn out anything close to the factory finish (which is what I wanted). But OCD wanted to just powder coat the one wheel that they damaged and not all 4.

Hard to find good shops in the bay area. Not a lot of integrity in these parts.

I just had my 992 TTS fully custom wrapped by Premier Protective Films in Fremont and was thoroughly impressed by their service and quality of work. Would definitely go back and highly recommend them. The film they use (ClearGuard Alpha) appears to be superior to other films in the industry as well. Give them another shot?

They are booked out into July and beyond. I need to have my front bumper repainted and then wrapped immediately after, so it doesn't accumulate more chips. And I just can't wait six months. I might just have to bite the bullet and get on their calendar but I'm looking for other options. I'm also less impressed with ClearGuard Alpha than I was with Suntek. Suntek was a little stronger and its self-healing was better than the film Premier uses, which shows a lot of swirl marks in comparison and doesn't seem to heal. But the actual install job Premier does is top notch.

I hope you left them a review saying this. This is exactly the type of review I look for when vetting. 100% not OK.
