Non-interference - aerosol fogging oil in the plug wells and (gently) turn the crank. If it turns, even with the TB off, likely good to go and proceed to a TB/WP, far easier than an S4...

Have also had long term success with Bosch plugs .... but use the silver electrode versions: WR7DS for 32V, and WR8DS for 16V: they seem immune to erosion at the gap, and have a great life span.

One can do it from the top, but with difficulty. It is far easier to secure the front end on jack stands and drop the undertray ( handful of screws): then, fish a 27mm socket on a 1.5" - 3" extension...

I've had 25mm spacers under the CS wheels w/o issues for eons - with the std 225/50 on front, full lock is at the point of touching , so worth doing a dimensional check w. 245's on front.
