I was thinking along the same lines, I ordered a used replacement tip on eBay, I'll keep everyone posted :) Do motor mounts go with mileage or age? or a mixture of the two? I just turned 55K miles......

Thanks for the photo, glad you found the source of your problem :) but my 2000 does not have that bracket or clamp on either side. My tips look to be original and have the # EP4110 stamped into them....

I have a 2000, 996 C2, 6 speed with an annoying exhaust tip rattle at idle "only when it's hot" I have had it running on the lift and the muffler and Cat don't appear to be the cause. Any thoughts?...
