I have Fidelity Platinum and I've found that the key is how your dealer associate presents the issue. I recently had the rear spoiler hydraulics go out and they replaced the entire thing.

I have a 2012 997.2 TT with 45k miles and it runs like new. These cars are pretty well built if you keep up with the maintenance they last a long time.
