Yes and Yes! Just slacken (not remove) the two side bolts enough so they disengage from the gearboxes. This is listed in the Qwners' Manual.

Just for info, I had a couple of similar warnings last year and started checking everything - nothing found! So, just in case,I charged the battery (CTEK) and everything has been OK since.

Pull back the rubber boot, prise out the white nylon ring with a small screwdriver, Remove the cable from the motor. The ring is split and comes out easily.:thumbsup:

Nope, AllData is wrong. In addition to the 3 torx screws, there are 2 more. At each end of the spoiler, you will (should) find a large rubber bung (approx 4 ins long) that clips into the tailgate....

If you look very closely at PET 803-10 parts 10 and 11, the seal (10) is shown as a separate item to the wall (11). I think the early design that was replaced with a "one-piece" part.
