Looks like there is a lip on the edge of the rotor where turning the rotor did not reach. This could be lifting the pad away from the rotor until it wears down...

I had the same experience with an Andial chip. It would invoke a hard cutoff at 6000 rpm (was as if the throttle was immediately closed). A Rennsport chip and as is well. :)

Mine does the same. Sometimes for a few seconds after shutdown, other time it stays on for minutes. As long as it doesn't run the battery down, I'm okay with the noise :)
